
The Work
My entire career has been focused communicating the on-going revolution in medicine, and that revolution has never slowed. I love jumping into brand new challenges, whether the category is oncology, genetic disorders, immunology, rare disease, respiratory, rare disease, cardiovascular—or something completely new. Probably 70% of my work is geared for a professional/specialist audience, but in truth, I feel a deep connection with both HCPs and patients. I love to 'dig in' to the task of conveying complex information in terms that my readers can fully understand and put to good use as they navigate health and disease.
I have also led and contributed to countless teams in my work life. I am a highly collaborative writer, and I firmly believe that the success of an endeavor depends not only on the vision behind it, but the team that brings it to life. Much of the work you'll see here was created in collaboration with some of the best art directors, account executives, strategists, medical directors, project managers, and clients that exist in this industry.

My personality is an unexpected blend of both science and advertising. I am forever curious and awe-struck at the creativity of science, and I carry that same excitement into the storytelling and even the 'show business' of advertising. Science is the best tool we have to shine a light in the dark, whether that darkness is an everyday lack of awareness, or a life-altering condition such as cancer. I've dedicated my career to capturing the scientific revolution happening in oncology, gene editing, immunotherapy, and related fields, and translating it into language that is meaningful and helpful to both HCPs and patients. I never tire of the profound human stories behind these breakthroughs, and I am fortunate to be able to work with so many amazing HCPs, patients, and brilliant professionals in this field.
Branding is the other language that is so critical and so powerful in this field—but it remains mysterious to many. I think of myself as a kind of translator—bringing scientific innovations out of the clinic and into the culture. When this work is done right, it has the potential for profound impact: improving outcomes, driving adoption, and changing lives.
